PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording medium which has good color developing property and is excellent in water resistance, plasticizer resistance of an image part and heat resistance of a white paper part.SOLUTION: There is provided a thermosensitive recording medium in which a thermosensitive recording layer containing a colorless or light-colored electron-donating leuco dye and an electron-accepting color developing agent is provided on a support. The thermosensitive recording layer contains a specific urea-based compound and a diphenyl sulfone-crosslinked compound as the electron-accepting color developing agent and further contains a carboxyl group-containing resin, an epichlorohydrin-based resin and a polyamine-polyamide resin, or a protective layer is preferably provided on the thermosensitive recording layer.
