<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear shift indicator capable of surely shortening a time to execute gear shift from display of gear shift indication without making a driver learn the time to execute the gear shift, and setting an optimum shift stage at a timing when the gear shift is executed.SOLUTION: A gear shift indicator including a running state detecting portion for detecting a running state of a vehicle, a gear shift indicating portion transmitting a gear shift indication signal for enhancing a driver to change gear on the basis of a result of comparison of the running state detected by the running state detecting portion with a predetermined reference value, and a gear shift display portion for displaying the gear shift indication when the gear shift indicating signal transmitted by the gear shift indicating portion is received, further includes a transmission region setting portion for setting a region where the gear shift indicating signal is transmitted on the basis of the running state detected by the running state detecting portion.</p> |
