PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation detection device in which the resin pressure and resin temperature of molten resin are hardly applied to a detection unit.SOLUTION: A rotation detection device A is equipped with a protection members 3, 3a covering the outer circumferential surface of a sensor body 10 and bonding the sensor body 10 so that at least a detection surface 10b side of it is open. As the outer circumferential surface of the sensor body 10 is covered by the protection member 3, when molten resin is filled in order to fix the sensor body 10 to a sensor ring 1 with a resin member 2, the resin pressure and resin temperature are not directly applied to the sensor body 10, so that damage to the sensor body 10 (especially a rotation detection IC) can be prevented for improved reliability. Furthermore, as the protection member 3 is such that at least the detection surface 10b side of the sensor body 10 is open, rotation detection can be reliably performed by holding the detection surface 10b faced against a magnetization rotor 103. |
