The present invention relates to a device and a method extending a conventional energy operation efficiency monitoring method which is based on a control chart utilizing a spider web chart to quantitively display whether the current energy operation efficiency is within a predetermined target range, thereby enabling a data center operator to effectively monitor the energy operation efficiency. The disclosed method includes the steps of: receiving an upper limit value and a lower limit value of an operation goal for each of the energy operation efficiency metrics; calculating the remaining energy operation efficiency percentage to be attained in order to achieve the goal for each of the energy operation efficiency metrics based on the current measurement value, upper operation goal limit value, and lower operation goal limit value for the corresponding energy operation efficiency metrics; and receiving the remaining energy operation efficiency percentages to be attained for each of the energy operation efficiency metrics to calculate the average value thereof. |
