PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component mounting system and component mounting method capable of automatically updating a content of worker data showing a technique level of a worker to keep the content appropriate.SOLUTION: In component mounting in which a worker executes work in facility operation of a component mounting line, worker data 33 obtained by associating a worker ID for identifying the worker with a technique level of the worker in executing the work is stored; an execution result of work executed by the worker is stored as history data 34 including work history data for each worker; the technique level of the worker in the worker data 33 is updated by a worker data update unit 35 on the basis of a determination result extracted from the work history data. Thereby, a content of the worker data 33 showing the technique level of the worker is automatically updated and can be kept being an appropriate content.
