PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that enables a yield to be excellent.SOLUTION: A display device comprises: a light source that emits light illuminating a liquid crystal display element; an optical element (a first condensing lens 51 and the like) that is disposed on an optical axis of the light source between the light source and the liquid crystal display element; and a case body 80 that accommodates the optical element. The case body 80 has: an upper part opening part 81 that opens toward a Z-axis direction; a bottom part 83 that is located on an opposite side of the upper part opening part 81 in the Z-axis direction; a groove part (a groove part 841 and the like) that is located between the upper part opening part 81 and the bottom part 83, extends along the Z-axis direction and becomes hollow toward an X-axis direction. The optical element has a protrusion part (a flange part 51b and the like) protruding toward the X-axis direction, in which the protrusion part is sandwiched by the groove, and whereby the optical element is accommodated in the case body 80 in a standing state along the Z-axis direction. |
