PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light extraction member in which yellowing of a light diffusion layer in a heating process is suppressed and which contributes to an improvement in light extraction efficiency, and to provide an organic electroluminescent device which has the light extraction member and is excellent in light extraction efficiency.SOLUTION: The light extraction member has the light diffusion layer containing light-diffusing particles and a resin on a translucent substrate and has a translucent electrode and a translucent conductor pattern electrically insulated from the translucent electrode on the light diffusion layer. An interval between the translucent electrode and the translucent conductor pattern is 5 mm or less.
