PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide that improves visibility of a core while suppressing light loss.SOLUTION: An optical waveguide 100 is provided with a cladding layer 11 and a core layer 12 that is embedded in the cladding layer 11 so that at least a surface of the core layer 12 is exposed therefrom. The light loss of the optical waveguide 100 at a wavelength of 660 nm is less than 2.6 dB/cm, and the light reflectance of the cladding layer 11 at a wavelength 660 nm is 7% or more.
