PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat mounting device which can smoothly mount a seat for a rear seat having a seat leg to an automobile body, and a seat mounting method.SOLUTION: A seat mounting device comprises a grip part which grips a seat 7B for a rear seat, and a pop-up mechanism 3 which upwardly pops up a seat leg part 73 from a hang-down state. The pop-up mechanism 3 has a slide part 33 which slides by receiving the thrust of an air cylinder 32 of a drive main body part 31 arranged at a moving tip 21, a pop-up arm part 4 which is arranged so as to be turnable with respect to the slide part 33, and pops up the seat leg part 73, and a guide part 5 which guides a turn of the pop-up arm part 4. The pop-ups arm part 4 is switched to a retreat position in which the arm part is located in an upper part of the seat 7B for the rear seat, and retreats from the seat leg part 73, and a pop-up position 403 in which the arm part turns downwardly to a lower part of the seat 7B for the rear seat, and pops up the seat leg part 73. |
