<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus configured to reduce changes in brightness of an image or influence of image sensor noise, to stably detect the same corner point between successive frames.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: a gradient direction calculation section 11 which acquires image information and calculates luminance gradient directions of pixels in the image information; a gradient direction histogram creating section 12 which acquires the luminance gradient directions of the pixels, and creates a histogram for each local area formed around each of the pixels and having a predetermined size, using the number of gradient directions for each predetermined angle as a bin value; and a corner degree calculation section 13 which acquires the histogram, and calculates a corner degree indicating a degree of likelihood of a corner, on the basis of at least two maximum values in the histogram.</p> |
