<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing D-lactic acid having high optical purity with high amount of production with D-lactic acid producing bacteria using woody biomass as a raw material.SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for producing D-lactic acid by allowing enzyme and D-lactic acid producing bacteria to act on woody biomass simultaneously to perform saccharification together with fermentation. The saccharification and fermentation are performed under the presence of a base at pH 4.0-7.0.</p> |
