X-RAY GENERATOR AND X-RAY IRRADIATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray generator which can obtain large output in spite of a compact size and can be manufactured at low cost.SOLUTION: A target has an irradiation surface which receives irradiation of electron beams, and a normal line of the irradiation surface is arranged in parallel to a virtual axis. A ring-shaped electron source is located at a position separated from this target along the virtual axis and arranged using this virtual axis as an axis, and electron beams are emitted from an electron emission surface directed to the target. A guide ring is located between the target and the ring-shaped electron source along the virtual axis and arranged using the virtual axis as the axis, and electron beams from the ring-shaped electron source are converged and set to the target.
