Disclosed are compounds suitable for labelling by 18F and the corresponding 18F labelled compounds themselves, 18F-fluorinated analogues thereof and their use as reference standards, methods of preparing such compounds, compositions comprising such compounds, kits comprising such compounds or compositions and uses of such compounds, compositions or kits for diagnostic imaging by Positron Emission Tomography (PET). In one embodiment the compound is (1S,2S)-2-[18F]fluoro-N-[(1,1-2H2)prop-2-yn-1-yI]indan-1-amine. In another embodiment the compound is (3aS,8aR)-3-[(1,1-2H2)prop-2-yn-1-yl]-3,3a,8,8a-tetrahydroindeno[1,2d][1,2,3} oxathiazole 2,2-dioxide. In yet another embodiment the compound is potassium N-[(1 S,2S)-2-[18F]fluoroindan-1-yl]-N-[(1,1-2H2)prop-2-yn-1-yl]sulfamate.
