<p>The present invention relates to a composition including a propolis extract as an active ingredient. More specifically, the propolis extract of the present invention can excellently inhibit the growth of microorganisms isolated from contaminated food items and microorganisms degrading the quality of food items. Accordingly, the present invention can be used as a natural food preservative capable of maintaining the freshness of various food items to store the food items for an extended period of time. The present invention can be an alternative for synthetic food preservatives.</p> |
