This present invention provides; high-reliability light-emitting elements which can maintain desirable properties despite long hours of operation; a long-life light-emitting device using the light-emitting elements; and a long-life electronic devices and lighting devices. With a different light-emitting layer structure from the existing structure, the light-emitting elements, including an electroluminescent layer between a pair of electrodes can maintain desirable properties after long hours of operation even though the carrier balance changes due to the operation of the light-emitting elements or the light-emitting area may shift according to this cahnge.
