<p>The present disclosure relates to a slidable overhead bar assembly (100) for load body (B) of a vehicle. The assembly (100) comprises, at least one bar (101a and 101b) of predetermined shape mounted above each side wall (102 and 103) of the load body (B), wherein said bars (101) are configured as guide rails. One or more sliding members (104) slidably disposed in the at least one bars (101a and 101b) mounted above each of the side walls (102 and 103). The assembly further comprises one or more overhead bars (105) connectable to at least one of the one or more sliding member (104) disposed in at least one bar (101a and 101b) mounted above each of the side walls (102 and 103), wherein each of the one or more overhead bars (105) are configured to be slided forward and backward in the bars (101a and 101b).
