Provided is a pesticide composition comprising a) from 10 to 90 percent by weight of a methylated vegetable oil having less than 10 percent by weight of saturated fatty acid methyl esters and less than 10 percent by weight offatty acid methyl esters of carbon chain length less than C10; and and b) from about 20 to about 65 percent by weight of one or more pesticides dissolved or dispersed in the methylated vegetable oil. Also provided is a method of using a methylated vegetable oil having less than 10 percent by weight of saturated fatty acid methyl esters and less than 10 percent by weight of fatty acid methyl esters of carbon chain length less than C10 as a carrier for basal bark/cut stump applications or as a dormant spraying oil
