The present invention relates to a biofilm formation prevention composition including a licorice extract as an active ingredient. More specifically, the biofilm formation prevention composition includes the licorice extract as an active ingredient and suppresses the biofilm formation of Xanthomonas oryzae and Yersinia enterocolitica. The present invention also relates to a composition for preventing the bacterial leaf blight of rice and another composition for prevention and treatment of food poisoning and gastroenteritis due to the Yersinia enterocolitica. According to the present invention, the composition including the liquorice extract can suppress the biofilm formation of the Xanthomonas oryzae and Yersinia enterocolitica to prevent the bacterial leaf blight of rice. The composition can also be used to prevent or treat food poisoning and gastroenteritis. |
