PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular steering apparatus, having a snap ring for regulating movement of a steering shaft in its axial direction and capable of easily and appropriately setting an extraction load of the snap ring required in accordance with a vehicle specification.SOLUTION: A snap ring 4 is inserted to a circular groove of a steering shaft 3 to regulate a movement of the steering shaft in its axial direction relative to a steering column 1. The snap ring includes a C-character-like portion 4c, and a set of extension portions 4a, 4b extending parallel to the axis of the steering shaft from dual free ends. Further, the extension parts are retained by a retention member (a circular member 5) at one engagement position of plural engagement positions set on the steering shaft in its axial direction to prevent the C-character-like portion from expanding within a given load limit. |
