PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating map data containing the passing-time of an intersection.SOLUTION: A method, used for generating map data from position data derived from a position 606 of at least one vehicle for a certain period, with the map data containing plural navigation-enabled sections representing sections 602, 604 of a navigation-enabled route 607 in a region covered by a map and further containing intersections between the navigation-enabled sections 602, 604 representing the intersections on the navigation-enabled route, includes using of a process circuit for executing the steps of: i) processing position data; ii) calculating, from processing the position data, passing-time or a set of passing-time of at least a part of intersections contained in the map data; and iii) generating further map data containing the calculated passing-time or set of passing-time correlated with an intersection for which a calculation has been performed for at least a part of the intersections. |
