PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation catalyst including an extrusion solid body for being used to the treatment of an exhaust gas emitted from an internal combustion engine in a fixed generation source and a movable type fields (i.e., vehicle(automobile)).SOLUTION: There is provided an oxidation catalyst that comprises an extrusion solid body including: at least one binder/matrix component; zeolite, non-zeolite molecular sieve or their two or more mixture; and, according to circumstances, stabilized ceria, and comprises, according to circumstances, at least one noble metal and at least one non-noble metal, in which a large part of the noble metal is located in the surface of the extrusion solid body or is stored in one or more coating layers on the surface of the extrusion solid body, and at least one metal is present over the whole of the extrusion solid body, is present on the surface of the extrusion solid body at a higher concentration, and is further stored in one or more coating layers on the surface of the extrusion solid body. |
