PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten layer switching time to shorten irradiation time.SOLUTION: A charged particle beam irradiation device 1 comprises: an accelerator 11 which emits a charged particle beam; an irradiation nozzle 12 which irradiates an irradiated body with the charged particle beam; a beam transport line 13 which transports the charged particle beam to the irradiation nozzle 12; a degrader 18 which is provided on the beam transport line 13 and adjusts energy of the charged particle beam; a plurality of electromagnets 25 which are provided downstream of the degrader 18 on the beam transport line 13; an electromagnet power source 27 which is provided corresponding to each of the plurality of electromagnets 25; and a control unit 30 which controls parameters of the electromagnets 25 depending on the energy of the charged particle beam. The electromagnet power source 27 includes a storage unit 27a which stores a parameter of the electromagnet 25 for each layer of the irradiated body irradiated with the charged particle beam. The control unit 30 transmits a signal on layer switching to the electromagnet power source 27. |
