PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for α-olefin polymerization capable of manufacturing α-olefin polymer having relatively wide molecular weight distribution and high melting point, and a manufacturing method of α-olefin polymer excellent in moldability with width molecular weight distribution.SOLUTION: There is provided a catalyst for an α-olefin polymer manufactured by contacting at least following components [A] to [D] in absence of olefin, or the like. Component [A]: transition metal compounds of Group 4 in the periodic table. Component [B]: at least one kind selected from a compound group consisting of an aluminum oxy compound carried on a solid fine particle [B-1], an ionic compound or Lewis acid carried on a solid fine particle and capable of being converted to cation by reacting with the transition metal compounds [A] [B-2], and an ion exchangeable layer silicate [B-3]. Component [C]: an organic aluminum compound. Component [D]: a diamine derivative. |
