The present invention provides a pigment dispersion for a black matrix having high light-blocking properties and high insulating properties, and a pigment-dispersed resist composition for a black matrix containing the same. The present invention is a pigment dispersion for a black matrix containing acidic carbon black, a pigment dispersant, a polyfunctional epoxy compound, and a solvent, wherein the pigment dispersion for a black matrix is characterized in containing 0.1-50 parts by mass of the polyfunctional epoxy compound relative to 100 parts by mass of acidic carbon black. |
