Embodiments of the present invention provide a video extraction method and device. The method comprises: obtaining an original image resolution S0 of a Tth image where a target image corresponding to a target object is located, T being a positive integer; obtaining a resolution coefficient P of the target image in the Tth image; obtaining an extraction resolution S1 according to the original image resolution S0 and the resolution coefficient P; and extracting an image of the target object in a (T+1)th image according to the extraction resolution S1. In this manner, when the target object in the (T+1)th image is extracted, the target image corresponding to the target object in the (T+1)th image can be extracted according to the analyzed extraction resolution of the (T+1)th image.
