The invention relates to a laser apparatus including a plurality of laser modules, each generating a laser line at a working surface. Said laser modules are juxtaposed such that the laser lines generated by the modules combine into a single laser line. Each laser module includes at least one means for generating a laser line. Said laser apparatus is characterized in that the or each laser line generation means includes two alignments (1a, 1b) of laser diode arrays (2), each emitting a focused laser beam (3a, 3b). Both alignments (1a, 1b) are placed parallel to each other so that the arrays (2) are staggered. Both sets of parallel laser beams (3a, 3b), respectively generated by the two array alignments (1a, 1b), are joined into a single laser line (8) by means of a set of mirrors (4, 5). The alignments of laser diode arrays (1a, 1b) and mirrors (4, 5) are placed such that both sets of laser beams (3a, 3b) travel on an optical path of the same length before being joined into a single laser line (8). |
