Disclosed is an apparatus for estimating the state of a hybrid secondary battery including a first secondary battery and a second secondary battery which have different electrochemical characteristics and which are connected in parallel with each other. The state estimation apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a sensor unit for measuring the operation voltage and the operation current of the secondary battery at a time interval; and a control unit for estimating the state of the hybrid secondary battery including at least one of a first charging state of the first secondary battery and a second charging state of the second secondary battery by executing an extended Kalman filter algorithm using a state equation including at least one of the first charging state and the second charging state as a state variable and an output equation including the operation voltage of the hybrid secondary battery as an output variable. |
