<p>Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for processing an electrical idle (EI) state and a Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIE) device. The method is applied to a PCIE system that supports optical cable transmission. The method comprises: a transmit end PCIE device determining that a link needs to enter an EI state; the transmit end PCIE device generating a first code according to a preset EI state code, the EI state code being for identifying that the link is in an EI state; when the link is in an EI state, the transmit end PCIE device continuously sending the first code to a receive end PCIE device by using an optical transmission device, the first code being used for instructing the receive end PCIE device to keep the link in an EI state. In a scenario of implementing optical transmission according to a PCIE standard, when a link is in an EI state, by means of the method, communication states of PCIE devices at two ends of the link may be kept consistent.</p> |
