The present invention relates to a method for detecting the boundaries of a medium image and a medium image processing system thereof. The method includes the steps of: loading an original image file which includes a medium image on the inside; sequentially selecting pixels from each vertex of the original image toward the center of the original image to check whether the selected pixel meets an internal medium pixel condition and detect the internal medium pixel for each of the vertices; scanning the pixel data in horizontal and vertical direction until a background color is detected from each of the internal medium pixels for the detected vertices to detect the vertices of the medium image; and automatically detecting the boundaries by connecting the vertices of the medium image. The present invention enables automatic control operations such as boundary detection, angle alignment of a rotated image, and text sharpness correction to be carried out to manage print medium images captured by a mobile digital devices in an optimal state and enables the printed medium images to be easily utilized.
