PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device which enables a rotary electric machine to start up an internal combustion engine corresponding to the change in internal combustion engine temperature and suppresses high output of the rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device 101 includes: an engine 10; a rotary electric machine 30 which has a first rotor 31 having a first coil 31b and mechanically connected to the engine 10, a second rotor 32 having a first permanent magnet 32b and mechanically connected to an output shaft 50, and a stator 33; a control unit 80 which controls demand-supply of power to the rotary electric machine 30; and inverters 21 and 22. The control unit 80 estimates the temperature of the engine 10. The control unit 80 starts the engine 10 by supplying the power to the rotary electric machine 30 to operate it, and sets the rotation number state of the rotary electric machine 30 on the basis of the rotation number difference between the second rotor 32 and the first rotor 31 as the state of the rotary electric machine 30 capable of starting up the engine 10 in accordance with the estimated engine temperature. |
