<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woody pellet without being dew-condensed to get out of shape during storage since there is the possibility that a conventional woody pellet itself gets out of shape when the pellet expected to be less in strength and high in swelling is dew-condensed and the woody pellet once gotten out of shape does not have commercial value any longer as a solid fuel.SOLUTION: Every woody pellet obtained by compression-molding only a woody raw material has a particle size of 1 mm or less, a flexural strength of 80-110 kg/cmand a density of 0.9-1.1 g/cm. Two extruders are used for manufacturing it. The first extruder compression-molds the woody raw material at a temperature of 60-110°C and a pressure of 10-50 kg/cmto form a raw material for the second extruder, and the second extruder compression-molds the raw material at a temperature of 80-170°C and a pressure of 10-100 kg/cmto form a columnar molding having a woody particle size of 1 mm or less.</p> |
