<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical body polishing device that can automatically process a processing object sphere until the sphericity of the processing object sphere reaches a predetermined value and automatically process a processing object sphere until the diameter of the processing object sphere reaches a predetermined value.SOLUTION: When the sphericity of a processing object sphere W has dispersion, the processing object sphere W clamped between a stationary platen 2 and a movable platen 3 rotates to turn the direction, so that the force working on the stationary platen 2 and the movable platen 3 fluctuates to generate oscillation. An acceleration amplitude determined from this oscillation decreases as the sphericity of the processing object sphere W improves. A spherical body polishing device 1 grasps that the acceleration amplitude has a set value by referring to sphericity data to stop the polishing of the processing object sphere, so that a processing object sphere W with a predetermined sphericity can be obtained.</p> |
