PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new technology for suppressing generation of white smoke.SOLUTION: There is provided a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) catalyst including a DPF base material and a catalytic layer arranged on the DPF base material. The catalytic layer includes carrier and a catalytic metal carried by the carrier, and a total surface area (m/L) of the carrier per the volume of the DPF base material, which is product of the specific surface area of the carrier (m/g) and the quantity of the carrier per the volume of the DPF base material (g/L), is 5-450 m/L. |
