PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation in the sum total of power losses of a system while suppressing a rise of temperature when the temperature of a switching element or a motor rises.SOLUTION: Provided is a power control device including a step-up converter 20, an inverter 30, and a control unit 60 for adjusting the output voltage of the step-up converter 20 and a carrier frequency fof the inverter 30, the control unit 60 being provided with a carrier frequency reduction program 65 which, when reducing the carrier frequency ffrom a set frequency, reduces the carrier frequency fdown to an LC resonance upper-limit frequency fwhile retaining the set value of output voltage of the step-up converter 20 at a system loss minimum voltage VH, and a voltage change program 66 for changing the carrier frequency fto a first change frequency fcalculated on the basis of each temperature of each switching element and a first prescribed temperature or less, and also changing the output voltage set value of the step-up converter 20 to a change voltage VHat which the LC resonance upper-limit frequency becomes the first change frequency. |
