PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing device and a washing method of a filter capable of simply and sufficiently removing deposited objects adhered to the filter.SOLUTION: A washing device of a filter to wash the filter where an exhaust gas produced by the combustion of a fuel is flown comprises: a bubble and mist generator which generates the bubbles or mist of a washing liquid to elute deposited objects adhered to the filter; a container 20 in which the filter is housed, the bubbles or mist is generated by the bubble and mist generator or received from the bubble and mist generator and the washing liquid is penetrated in the filter by the bubbles or mist; and a water washing unit to wash the filter including the washing liquid with the eluted deposited objects with water.
