PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of allowing an update server, which transmits and applies update software to a vehicle, to confirm whether the update software has been successfully applied or not.SOLUTION: A correction program confirmation method includes: receiving first information on a state of a control program from a control section mounted on a vehicle and configured to execute the control program for controlling equipment mounted on the vehicle; calculating second information on a state of the control program to be obtained when a correction program for the control program is applied to the control section, on the basis of the received first information; transmitting the correction program to the control section; receiving third information on a state of the control program to be obtained after applying the transmitted correction program to the control section; comparing the received third information with the second information; and determining whether the correction program has been successfully applied to the control section, on the basis of a result of the comparison.
