<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC/DC converter having improved power conversion efficiency.SOLUTION: A transformer 10 transforms a DC voltage applied to the primary side to output it to the secondary side. Switches 11, 12, 13, 14 periodically switch the voltage applied to the primary side. A load current detector circuit 31 detects a load current that flows in the secondary side of the transformer 10. A switching frequency changeover circuit 32 changes a frequency to switch the switches 11, 12, 13, 14 from a first frequency to a second frequency lower than the first frequency when the magnitude of the load current detected by the load current detector circuit 31 becomes smaller than a predetermined threshold. The switching frequency changeover circuit 32 also changes the frequency to switch the switches 11, 12, 13, 14 from the second frequency to the first frequency when the magnitude of the load current detected by the load current detector circuit 31 becomes larger than the predetermined threshold.</p> |
