<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for preventing a gas exhaust valve, provided in a case, from being closed by suppressing expansion of an electrode body housed in the case of a secondary battery.SOLUTION: A secondary battery includes a case 3 provided with a gas exhaust valve 5, and an electrode body 4 housed in the case 3. The electrode body 4 is a laminate where a positive electrode sheet and a negative electrode sheet are laminated while being shifted in the width direction. The gas exhaust valve 5 is provided while penetrating the upper lid 3a of the case 3. A tape 6 is wound around the outer periphery of the overlapping portion 7 of the positive electrode sheet and negative electrode sheet of the electrode body 4. The tape 6 has a width W that is smaller than the width Wb of the overlapping portion 7, but larger than the width Wa of the gas exhaust valve 5. The surface of the tape 6 is facing the gas exhaust valve 5.</p> |
