<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device and an image forming apparatus, capable of contributing to the long life of a fixing belt, while securing separability by optimizing the curvature of the fixing belt in the vicinity of the discharge port of a fixing nip part.SOLUTION: The fixing device includes a heating part including an endless fixing belt 171, a pressure part 72 coming into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the fixing belt 171, a nip forming member 173 arranged inside the fixing belt 171 and forming a fixing nip part N by the fixing belt 171 and the pressure part 72, a smoothness detection device and a sheet information acquisition part acquiring the discharge condition of a recording sheet S after fixation in the fixing nip part N, and a curvature changing member 179 arranged inside the fixing belt 171 and changing the rotational movement path of the fixing belt 171, according to the acquisition results of the smoothness detection device and the sheet information acquisition part.</p> |
