PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermistor element that, even if exposed at 900°C for a long time, can suppress a change in resistance characteristics of a thermistor part to suppress a decrease in temperature detection accuracy, and to provide a temperature sensor using the thermistor element.SOLUTION: In a thermistor element 21 that is provided in a temperature sensor 1, a cover layer 26 has a composition as shown in examples 1-8, whereby the cover layer 26 is formed as dense crystallized glass even if a baking temperature is relatively low (for example, 1,100°C or lower) at the time of its production. Since the thermistor element 21 is provided with the cover layer 26 as the dense crystallized glass, composition changes in a thermistor part 22 and the cover layer 26 are hardly caused, and changes in a resistance value and resistance characteristics of the thermistor part 22 are hardly caused. |
