PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document reading device that eliminates the need to separately prepare an external display device, and can be used as a PC with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A document holding member 162 has a display part 165 located at a position facing the main surface of contact glass 161 while the document holding member 162 is closed. A first control unit 100 controls document reading processing by document reading unit 163, and a second control unit 104 controls information processing as a so-called PC. The second control unit 104 displays a result of the information processing as a so-called PC on the display part 165 of the document holding member 162.
