PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a secondary battery that can effectively impregnate a wound body with an electrolyte.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a secondary battery includes the processes of: reducing the pressure in the outer sheath 30; injecting an electrolyte E into the pressure-reduced outer sheath 30; impregnating a wound body with the electrolyte E from both axial ends 100a, 100b of the wound body 100; leaving the outer sheath 30 and wound body as they are so as to reduce the differential pressure between a wound body outer space S which is the space between the outer sheath 30 and the wound body and a wound body inner space S1; and applying pressure to the wound body outer space S. |
