<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking support device in which vehicle equipment for parking support can be mounted easily according to necessity for a driver, and which allows a driver to park a vehicle at a target parking space by backing easily and correctly, and to provide a parking support method.SOLUTION: A portable terminal 18 is coupled to an on-vehicle ECU 60 of a vehicle 12 which does not normally mount dedicated vehicle equipment for vehicle guiding. Data of a drive state is read from the vehicle ECU 60 for monitoring the drive state of the vehicle 12, and instruction and guidance such as movement distance of the vehicle 12 and steering operation are performed from the portable terminal 18 to a driver 16.</p> |
