<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module capable of enhancing stability of an atomic oscillator.SOLUTION: An optical module 100 includes: a surface-emitting laser 10; aλ/4 plate 20 on which light from the surface-emitting laser 10 is made incident; a gas cell 30 irradiated with the light transmitted through theλ/4 plate 20; a light detector 40 for detecting intensity of the light transmitted through the gas cell 30; a light splitting section 50 positioned in a subsequent stage of theλ/4 plate 20 for splitting the light made incident; aλ/4 plate 60 on which the light split by the light splitting section 50 is made incident; a polarization filter 70 on which the light transmitted through theλ/4 plate 60 is made incident having a transmission axis obtained by rotating a fast-axis of theλ/4 plate 60 by 45 degrees; a light detector 80 for detecting intensity of the light transmitted through the polarization filter 70; a driving section 90 for rotating at least one of the surface-emitting laser 10 and theλ/4 plate 20 about an optical axis; and a controller 92 for activating the driving section 90 in response to an amount of light detected by the light detector 80.</p> |
