The invention relates to a high throughput apparatus and method for preparing extrudate. The apparatus and method allow the production of small quantities (e.g., less than 50 g) of extrudates quickly and easily. A multi-chamber setup for peptized binder addition, mixing and extrusion, is combined with high speed impeller to provide a process to prepare small quantity extrudates in high throughput fashion.
