PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a case where power cannot be supplied to a memory card until backup time is over.SOLUTION: A data storage controller has a main microcomputer that controls a memory card with a data-rewritable non-volatile memory. When a 5 V voltage is cut off, a backup capacitor 22 (hereafter called a capacitor 22) continues supplying power to the memory card at least until backup time is over. A capacitor charging IC 21 is powered by the 5 V voltage and supplies the capacitor 22 with a charging voltage. A DC/DC converter 23 (hereunder called a converter 23) is supplied with power from the capacitor charging IC 21 and the capacitor 22 and generates a card operating voltage. A shutdown signal generating section 25 outputs a shutdown signal to the converter 23. The shutdown signal generating section 25 receives power from the capacitor 22 and the converter 23. |
