<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce polyhydroxyalkanoate from lignin-related substance using microorganisms having assimilability to a lignin derivative and/or a biosynthesis intermediate metabolite of polyhydroxyalkanoate therefrom.SOLUTION: A production method of polyhydroxyalkanoate using microorganisms comprises the steps of: culturing microorganisms, belonging Cupriavidus genus, Ralstonia genus or Alcaligenes genus, having assimilability to a lignin derivative and/or a biosynthesis intermediate metabolite of polyhydroxyalkanoate therefrom, in a medium comprising at least one substance selected from the group consisting of the lignin derivative and the biosynthesis intermediate metabolite of polyhydroxyalkanoate therefrom as a carbon source; and collecting polyhydroxyalkanoate from the microorganisms.</p> |
