PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast coated paper for ink jet recording having the glossiness of a general cast coated paper and also provided with excellent ink jet recording (printing) suitability.SOLUTION: Provided is a cast coated paper for ink jet recording obtained by providing at least one side of a substrate with an ink reception layer including a pigment and a styrene-butadiene latex and being subjected to a cast finish, and the ink reception layer includes a water-soluble mold release agent.
