<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load in a distribution system which distributes firmware.SOLUTION: A distribution system includes: first registration means which registers a firmware package including multiple pieces of firmware to be used in multiple models of devices; second registration means which registers control information as to whether to allow distribution of firmware included in the firmware package registered in the first registration means, for each of models of the devices; management means which manages management information as to whether the firmware can be distributed to each model, on the basis of the control information registered in the second registration means; and control means which controls distribution of the firmware corresponding to each of the models, in response to a request from the device at periodic intervals, when the management information managed by the management means indicates that the firmware corresponding to the model of the device can be distributed.</p> |
