A screen control device (100) which detects transverse flicks while a vertical-type calendar screen or a grid-type calendar screen is displayed. If a transverse flick is detected while the vertical-type calendar screen is displayed, the screen control device (100) performs control such that the screen is changed to a date which is the same day in the previous year or the following year as the date being displayed. Meanwhile, if a transverse flick is detected while the grid-type calendar screen is displayed, the screen control device (100) performs control such that the screen is changed to the dates of the month previous to or the month following the month being displayed.
